That's a wrap on the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo 2024! 🎉 The highlight for us was our session on "Beyond Visibility: How Boston Scientific redefines its supply chain with AI-powered value chain management." Some of the takeaways we covered: - Know thyself: visibility is only one step towards proactive risk management. - Resilience as a competitive advantage: a successful resiliency program goes far beyond risk management. - Single source of truth: establish a single source of truth for value chain information (not a spreadsheet!) and plan to operationalize via decisions across functions. - Establish clear executive and business ownership: build a winning hand by collaborating and enabling cross-functional teams with software and processes that solve multiple problems. We'll see you next year, Gartner for Supply Chain #GartnerSC!

The combination of geopolitical conflict – often expressed through new trade restrictions, climate change and attendant extreme weather, and supply chain shocks from COVID to the Red Sea – have sent a clear message to governments and business that we are in a new paradigm. Our Chief Marketing Officer Jonathan Prince discussed this topic today at the Special Competitive Studies Project - SCSP AI Expo for National Competitiveness. It is time to move beyond reactive supply chain risk management into a unified, comprehensive approach to value chain management where businesses can see their extended supplier and distribution networks, focus on specific priorities from compliance to procurement to insurance with insights, real-time, relevant alerts, and decision support, and collaborate across a common operating picture with customers, suppliers, regulators and other partners. If you're attending #SCSPAIExpo2024, don't miss our Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer Peter Swartz' demonstration tomorrow of the Altana Atlas – the only dynamic, intelligent, universal map of the global supply chain.
