Joyride is a new marketplace in one of the few overlooked segments left in the automotive industry, unclaimed vehicle auctions. Started by a team of successful entrepreneurs, a few car aficionados, and a talented development team, they had the vision to create the industry-leading online auction platform to make it easy and safe to buy and sell unclaimed vehicles.

After a year of laser-focused brand creation and product development, Joyride launched in April 2020. Joyride is now successfully executing regular online unclaimed vehicle auctions in six major U.S. cities – Indianapolis, Las Vegas, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles – and is experiencing rapid product demand and growth. Although still in its infancy, Joyride is a rapidly growing $10M GMV business with ASP over $1,000. We are a lean, yet impactful team comprised of motivated, positive, and collaborative individuals who are dedicated to company success.

The first data analyst at joyride! You will play a pivotal role in answering the “what” and the “why” questions that come up daily from all stakeholders, from boots on the ground to the CEO. You’ll do a little of everything, from streamlining reporting requirements to storytelling the data to our sellers, you’ll be the voice of the data we currently lack.

We’re a small lean team, which means we need big thinkers and big do-ers to wear the various hats to keep our business moving. The ideal person is a go-getter with a self-start mentality that is focused on exploring and finding the answer themselves.

Extract insights from auction data into easy to understand reports

partner with our sellers to understand the story their data is telling them

Demonstrate platform value through data and analytics to our seller partners

Explore the various data sources and suggest improvements to the product or platform

Help to find the answers to questions asked by the business or dev teams

BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Statistics, or equivalent experience

Prior startup experience strongly desired

Firebase realtime DB and or similar noSQL db experience

Postgres/SQL

Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, or Looker

Google Analytics and GTM platform

Strong Excel skills

Balance attention to detail with swift execution
