Job Overview:
The Data Analyst role is responsible for providing key insights to business stakeholders. This is generally accomplished via developing Looker dashboards as well as SQL queries and subsequent data analysis. Oftentimes analysis and results are surfaced to business stakeholders via spreadsheets with summary data and key findings along with data visualization.
This role requires a very strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface directly with key business and product stakeholders to field oftentimes unstructured business requirements for data analysis, KPI tracking and dashboard development. Ability to translate business requests through to structured data analysis is essential.

Responsibilities:

    • Perform in depth data analysis to get at the heart of pressing business questions that require data and analysis to drive decision making.
    • Develop Looker dashboards for data visualization, KPI reporting and tracking efficacy across our product offerings and product releases.
    • Aggregate and analyze data to present research findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing, Banking Operations, Customer Experience, Credit, Finance, Technology and Executive Leadership.
    • Data exploration to identify trends and drivers, perform exploratory data analysis, and present views that will provide visibility into our business performance.
    • Use analytics to inform projects and drive product decisions pre- and post-launch, coupled with a good understanding of best practices, good UX, and what works well.
    • Generate ad hoc analysis leveraging SQL, Excel/Google sheets and ability to draw together business conclusions.
    • Partner closely with key business and product stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency and provide actionable insights.
    • Help design and execute A/B to improve the customer experience and drive customer growth.

Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of industry experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
    • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
    • Resourceful and motivated problem solver. You enjoy and have the ability to tackle, oftentimes unstructured complex problems, draw inferences from data and use your analysis skills and business acumen to identify solutions.
    • You have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage projects supporting multiple business partnersCollaborative and open minded. You have experience and an interest in partnering with diverse team members, who are coming to the table with different perspectives and ideas. You are open to creative approaches to solving problems.
    • You are passionate about data. You love exploratory analysis in order to find meaningful patterns and trends in the data, and knowledge sharing your results with key business and product owners.
    • You are never comfortable with skin deep superficial answers and delve deeply into data to find the true answers.Must have strong SQL skills.
    • Must have experience with one or more data visualization tools: Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Periscope, etc… ideally Looker.
    • Experienced in other analytics tools such as Python, R, SAS, etc… is  a plus.
    • Experience with Amplitude is a plus.
    • Experience with Segment is a plus.
    • Technical, analytical work experience in web analytics data and tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics is a plus.
    • Experience in the AdTech, MarTech or Bank Operations verticals is a plus.
