What you'd be doing:

Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our data & analytics engineering architecture
Leverage tools such as Python, PostgreSQL, Airflow, dbt, and AWS to create and maintain data pipelines, data models, and other data processes
Expand and maintain our data lake and data warehouse to ingest & transform data from multiple sources, applying principles of master data management to maintain high degree of data quality and reliability
Assist the data science team in standardizing & scaling data pipelines and creating databases
Work with other teams to identify opportunities for new analytics workflows, data pipelines, and automated processes
Make strategic recommendations about how to expand and improve our data & analytics infrastructure

Experience we require:

3-5+ years of domain experience in data engineering and/or data analytics
Advanced working SQL and Python knowledge, particularly data-related Python packages
Familiarity with data governance concepts such as master data management, data lineage, data quality, and data catalogs
Experience working with DAG-based data pipeline systems such as Airflow and dbt
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
Experience developing applications for Linux
Working knowledge of source control systems, preferably Git
