About the Role

As a member of the data team, the Data Quality Engineer will develop, modify, maintain, and deploy automated test plans for releases, ensuring a high confidence level of data. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and cross-functional business teams. Our ideal candidate will have experience in a wide array of test suites, analytic tools, and testing platforms. Candidates must be comfortable working with agile methodologies and contributing to the sprint process for weekly releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with data scientist, data engineers and analysts to understand business requirements for data projects and ensure testability of designs

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate data quality

  • Analyze new software functionality and features to continually adjust and refine the full test suite

  • Define, manage, and execute testing methodologies across our platforms; including continuous, regression, end to end, smoke, performance, and integration with partners

  • Research and recommend testing tools to ensure data

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of key data structures to maximize test quality and coverage

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in data quality environment

  • 2+ years’ experience working in an Agile SDLC environment

  • Experience with reading/writing complex SQL statements

  • Experience with testing software suites and product release process

  • Experience writing R/Python analytic scripts to detect defects in features

  • Ability to investigate systemic defects and validate data

  • Experience writing and executing both manual and automated test plans, including technical and performance methodologies

  • Familiarity with reporting tools, such as Tableau, Plotly, or similar statistics package

  • Ability to communicate issues, root cause and resolutions to both technical and non-technical levels of the organization

  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and relational capacity

  • Experience working with cloud based eco-systems such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform is a plus

  • Financial industry experience is a plus

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

$ 93,600.00-149,700.00
