The Lead Analyst Advisory Services Data Reporting & Engagement Analytics will be strategically focused and held accountable for analyzing and supporting execution of Managed Account Service membership activity and reporting while managing to quarterly and annual business goals.  This includes analyzing and supporting strategic initiatives intended to drive Participant Advisory Services utilization and/or client satisfaction across Empower segments. As a member of the Empower Advisory Group Participant Engagement Team, this individual will support participant engagement strategies to drive increased engagement, personalization and customer retention and report impact to internal and external stakeholders. This includes developing new insights and understanding of managed accounts performance based on data. This individual will analyze multiple data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management and internal partners, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

What you will do

  • Partner with internal business units and clients/advisors to understand their reporting needs and extract data from sourced systems/data warehouse to communicate the value of managed accounts. This includes both recurring and ad hoc reporting requests/projects. From there, design and deliver reports, dashboards and analytics for end-users in the business and shared services (finance, RSG, segment leaders, AAG Segment Managers, client service teams, sponsors and advisors) by exploring and extracting data from primary and secondary sources using SQL/related language to be used in reports and statistical analysis. Gather questions and requirements from end users (managers, leaders) in the business to inform analyses; present resultant findings to applicable functions and organizational layers, as necessary.

  • Execute strategic distribution of enrollment and retention strategies to promote the Participant Advisory Services programs provided by Empower Advisory Group (EAG) and grow Managed Account Service assets under management through participant engagement strategies and reporting engagement rates.

  • Integrate participant outreach with the activity of the EAG Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) Field and Phone Representatives to meet strategic objectives of increasing AUM, enrollments and personalization. 

  • Work closely with the Participant Advisory Services Education center to align participant engagement activity with inbound and outbound support.

  • Work closely with Empower Advisory Segment Managers and Empower service teams to actively initiate and grow the distribution model by scheduling outreach and reporting results/retention by channel.

  • Partner with participant marketing and product teams to drive participant messaging and engagement directed to improve response rates to personalization, satisfaction and enrollment.

  • Responsible for executing strategic plans ‑ including client-specific initiatives ‑ and reporting engagement rates.

  • Develop and manage improved strategic distribution, enrollment and retention strategies for EAG products and services through collaboration with Empower segment leaders and their respective organizations.

  • Develop metrics, reports, ad hoc analytics, and support EAG efforts to identify opportunities to maximize the efficiency and productivity of the Empower segment personnel.

  • Ad-hoc Service Utilization Projects:  Works with other EAG managers/directors as well as Empower sales, client

  • management, participant education specialists, compliance, legal, systems, and/or marketing, as needed, on ad-hoc initiatives to drive growth in Participant Advisory Services utilization and/or client satisfaction. This may include participating in meetings with large or key EAG clients to review the AAG participant education and enrollment service model.

What you will bring

  • Degree in Systems or Mathematics (or Analytics, Decision Sciences, Statistics) is preferred or bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field or equivalent data analytics experience.

  • Five years’ experience in retirement and/or investment industry

  • Familiarity with Managed Account products & platforms desired

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL for facilitating reporting across various data sources.

  • Knowledge of SAS, Python, R Working knowledge of using an integrated tool set to leverage big data

  • Working knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Salesforce Wave, Qlik, Domo, SAP Business Objects or similar tools)

  • Knowledge of Hadoop, SAP HANA or other Big Data environments

  • Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data types

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
