JOB SUMMARY
In response to our explosive growth, NZXT's Analytics Team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer to shape how we handle data across the company.  This role will own our internal data science, analytics, and reporting infrastructure which enables us to make data driven decisions across the company.  We utilize DBT so an interest in modern data transformation and rock-solid SQL skills are a must.

We are looking for a creative problem solver — someone who isn’t hindered by yesterday’s limitations but continuously finding ways to make things work better.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes by connecting teams to data that helps them make better decisions.
• Work closely with data scientists and data owners to understand their data requirements for existing and future projects on data analytics applications
• Coordinate with team members to help determine the most appropriate priority of projects and tasks based on value, cost, and interdependence
• Manage and improve our code base.
• Ensure our infrastructure can scale as NZXT’s growth/expansion continues.
• Architect, design and develop new systems and tools to enable users to consume and understand data faster

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related experience. 
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, Data Science, or Data Engineering. 
• 3+ years experience developing data systems including:
  • data warehousing, schema design and data modeling
  • building production data pipelines (using Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, etc.) on 
  • custom or structured ETL design, implementation and maintenance
• Demonstrated experience with all aspects of a modern analytics environment including building and deploying ETLs and DW pipelines supporting product and business use cases.
• Familiarity with cloud-based warehousing & modeling technologies (dbt, Snowflake, etc)
• Expertise managing code standards and deployment using GitHub
