THE ROLE

Here at Thrasio we are building one of the most sophisticated Market & Competitive Intelligence platforms in e-commerce to not only empower our internal teams with data-driven market context, but to develop unique capabilities that provide Thrasio a competitive advantage and help us further scale. The mission of the Market and Competitive Intelligence team is to be Thrasio radar’s on Amazon and beyond, illuminating - across critical levers such as Pricing, Marketing and Merchandising, our relative performance, thereby driving superior strategy and decision-making. 

THE ROLE

Thrasio seeks a strategic and analytical leader to be a driving force within the Market and Competitive Intelligence team. Our tight-knit and entrepreneurial team has unique access to large and powerful datasets and this is a rare opportunity to be a thought leader in how to unlock the power of big data in a new organization; Insights generated from this position will be highly visible to senior management and will drive key decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

    • As the lead of a team of analysts, you will focus on delivering strategic analyses and data products with a clear point of view - to stakeholders of all levels, from other analysts to executives - so those insights can easily be used to make decisions.
    • You will act as a thought leader, devising new ways to use market and competitive data to improve automation and operational decision-making across the organization, from Brand Management to Pricing and Demand Forecasting
    • You will guide and coach your team as you craft innovative analyses and analytical tools (metrics, dashboards, etc)
    • You will partner with leaders across the organization to enhance how the business uses external data to make critical decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Four-year Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, MBA preferable; Experience and demonstrated success leadinganalytical teams
    • A knack for understanding an organization’s strategic priorities and processes, the ways they can be improved, and the right analytical solution to drive strategic enhancements
    • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills; Ability to break down an ambiguous problem, break it into manageable parts for team, and explain it clearly to non-experts
    • Ability to leadanalysts in complex analyses or analytical tool design; Attention to detail and excellent quality control
    • Ability to work cross-functionally across both business and technology teams, managing a diverse set of stakeholders
    • Strong executive communication skills and ability to tailor style to all levels
    • SQL familiarity or motivation to learn and develop the skill set is a plus
We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably.  As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $135,000 to $215,000.  (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.)   The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations.  As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels, then the range listed above may reflect that breadth.  If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.

In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term and long-term incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
