ROLE 

As a Senior Data Engineer at Shef you will be responsible for owning the data we collect as a company and making it easily accessible for different functions of the company to use and make data-driven decisions. You will own the engineering foundation used for data pipelines and help scale the ETLs Shef. You will also be responsible for defining and maintaining the data quality for the company, and raise the bar to make sure our data is accurate for reporting critical business metrics.

Responsibilities

• Create and contribute to frameworks that improve the efficacy of logging data, while working with data infrastructure to triage issues and resolve.
• Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.
• Design, build, and launch collections of sophisticated data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products or domains.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs, representing key data insights visually in a meaningful way.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or similar experience in science or engineering
• Self-starter who is smart, driven, and hardworking
• 3+ years experience in the data warehouse space.
• 3+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
• 3+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
• 3+ years experience in writing SQL statements.
• Experience analyzing data to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
• Experience with data tables metrics and monitoring.
