As the Sr. Director of Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for working with stakeholders across the organization including marketing, operations, merchandising, finance and customer experience to enable data-driven decision making. Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Analytics Officer, you will guide analytics projects from discovery to solution and help us raise the bar for how we apply data to critical business decisions. 

What You'll Do

    • Own the entire Data & Analytics function, including data engineering, BI reporting, strategic analytics and data science
    • Define and execute the Data & Analytics roadmap
    • Lead the Data & Analytics team, including partnering with our People & Talent team to recruit top talent and build out the team
    • Manage and maintain the complete delivery cycle of analytics deliverables, including integrated dashboards and ad-hoc requests
    • Empower the organization to use self-service data to take action in real time in their roles through ongoing education, approachable tools, and clean datasets
    • Build partnerships throughout the organization to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for business impact through data & analytics
    • Manage data engineering & design best practices to architect solutions, using a deep understanding of various data formats and database design approaches
    • Improve data quality and governance in partnership with business stakeholders
    • Manage the data technology stack to maintain uptime/SLA goals for the business
    • Drive the overall strategy and prioritization of advanced analytics projects, including our fit algorithm, customer cohorting and lifetime value analyses, demand forecasting, time series modeling, and attribution modeling

Who You Are

    • 10+ years of relevant experience, including leading a high-performing team responsible for data engineering, analytics, and data science
    • Strong understanding of statistics and probability
    • Professional experience using advanced SQL in a cloud data warehouse environment (such as Redshift, Snowflake or Hive), including window functions and CTEs
    • Strong data visualization skills; experience with a tool like Tableau, Periscope, Mode or similar
    • You thrive in a progressive environment, and see yourself as a partner with the business with the shared goal of moving the business forward
    • Ability to simply and persuasively communicate insights to team members across the business and across analytical backgrounds and to understand the business needs
    • Experience with our stack would be beneficial, but not required: Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Mode
    • Python or R experience is a plus
    • You love freedom and hate being micromanaged
