Leveraging data throughout every step in the homebuilding process is critical to achieving Homebound’s mission.  We are looking for a passionate BI developer that is excited about the challenge of going from “zero to one” and from “one to N” on all things data and BI. This individual will be a key driver for scaling analytics and data-driven decision making at Homebound. Responsibilities:

• Be a leading voice in promoting a data-driven culture, where consumable data informs daily decision making across the entire organization
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to diagnose pain points and prioritize BI development work
• Build best-in-class dashboards, visualizations, and workflows
• Hold trainings, office hours, and other engagement events to increase Looker adoption and usage
• Perform lighter analyses and deliver/defend data-driven recommendations to cross functional leaders
• Help recruit and mentor a growing team of leading data professionals

What Have You Done In Your Career:

• 3+ years of professional industry experience in analytics, with at least a full year of experience developing within a BI tool like Looker or Tableau
• Expertise within the Looker platform is highly preferred (Models, Explores, Views, Dashboards, Performance, Etc.)
• Experience driving projects from ideation to production including gathering requirements, wrangling data sources, and presenting results to stakeholders
• Experience training and mentoring, especially in regards to data and BI tooling. Former experience as a teacher or coach is a big plus.
• Demonstrated success in driving adoption of data and analytics products at company wide scale
• Fluency in SQL
• Familiar with modern data analysis tools like Python, Airflow, and GitHub
