Who we are looking for

Brandfolder is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for data and data-driven insights to join our Product Engineering team. You have a solid foundation in data engineering. You have enthusiasm for designing, building, and maintaining highly available and scalable distributed systems handling billions of data events and records.

For the state of Colorado, the range of starting pay for this position is between $135,240 and $165,600. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive annual bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer.

What you’ll do

  • Build our data pipeline to be high performing, reliable, scalable and maintainable
  • Monitor and improve data quality with automation
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of our data platform
  • Incorporate data features into the production end-user experience (Insights application, Insights Data Connector feature, AI/ML models, feature extraction datasets, etc.)
  • Work within our versatile data team to provide descriptive, predictive and AI based data analytics to our customers. See examples.
  • Work with other software development squads to integrate data insights across the product.
  • Support analytics custom reporting
  • Be able to deploy your work to production daily
  • Report to the data squad engineering manager

What you bring

  • 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Adept in Python and SQL
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Experience with relational databases, data warehouses and data lakes
  • Ability and desire to work independently, as well as, in collaboration with others
  • Commitment to achieve goals and continually improve
  • A growth mindset and passion for learning new data technologies
  • Eligibility to legally work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis

Bonus points for

  • Experience with SaaS applications in a cloud based environment
  • Experience with descriptive and predictive analytics
  • Understanding of deployment best practices
  • Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, GKE
  • Airflow, Spark, dbt, PostgreSQL, Serverless, Terraform, Docker
  • Experience producing and consuming data through APIs
