I've had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of companies entering the health data space. Privacy considerations are always a top priority for them; to ensure patient privacy is protected, applicable laws are adhered to, and companies are being good stewards of their partners' data. Understanding the relationship between data utility and the patient privacy requirements of real-world data is critical. I put together a few thoughts on these tradeoffs and would like to (again) thank Jonah Leshin, Head of Data Science, Privacy Hub Product and Technology, for his input into this. #RealWorldData #DataPrivacy

And we’re off! Datavant ‘s Real World Data Connect is off to a fantastic start discussing #RWD collaborations across industry verticals and with technology partnerships. Moderated by the one and only Helen Moran, the panel included perspectives from Daniel C. Lane, PharmD, PhD, MBA (BMS), Alexandra Berk King (CVS), Jared Saul, MD (AWS) Michael Sanky (Databricks). We learned about: - Multimodal data linkage for drug discovery (including generating novel data from #organoids, then validated from #clinical history) - How computational power getting better + reduced cost of data capture (e.g., #genome sequencing, video data capture for #digitaltherapeutics, etc.) has opened up the path for new insights from larger, unstructured datasets. - How higher #dataquality, richer datasets are being interrogated in #cleanrooms - Managing integrated data strategies and how #scientists turn #data into research questions. - #Linking datasets together to fill in the data gaps. - And of course, how #AI advancements are propelling the field forward.

6 babies are delivered, 60 patients are admitted, and 260 emergency room visits occur every minute in American hospitals. It takes nearly half of our healthcare workforce to support our 6,200 hospitals. Datavant joins the American Hospital Association in celebrating National Hospital Week! But we're not just celebrating. We're building secure, quality-controlled, technology-driven workflows designed to reduce the administrative burden of managing all 130 million annual emergency room visits and 33.6 million annual hospital admissions. Behind our technology is our commitment to interoperability in healthcare: getting all of that hospital data from where it sits to where it needs to be to support critical decision making and efficient workflows. Looking for a primer on interoperability? Check out our blog that breaks down interoperability in healthcare: https://hubs.ly/Q02w-ZR30 #datalogistics #WeAreHealthCare #NationalHospitalWeek
