GLOWING IN SYNC TO ATTRACT MATES, now that's a feast for the eyes! 💘 Each year in late spring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park hosts a spectacular light show, the synchronous fireflies, known for coordinating their flashes into bursts that ripple through the group of insects all for the purpose of meeting a mate. Viewing of the synchronous fireflies is between June 3-10. The lottery is currently open until 11.59pm EDT, April 29. Winners will be notified early May. Camping is not guaranteed as part of the permit, so we're here to help! Food is something that brings people together. We all need to eat. Most of us LOVE eating health, fresh and nutritious foods (mac cheese at camp is also acceptable from time to time). Time and time again people tell us how much they enjoy learning about food systems, eating farm fresh produce and supporting the growers (Hipcamp Hosts) when they Hipcamp. Our recent Journal entry talks about how farm-to-table living can actually translate to farm-to-RV life living for traveling families.
