Kudos to our benefitting 501(c)3 the American Farmland Trust and their Land Transfers Navigators program, which helps protect farm and ranch land by easing the transition to new owners who aspire to continue the tradition. #FoodSecurity #SocialMedia4SocialGood
As many farmers face retirement, change is needed to protect our food system and agricultural land. Our Land Transfer Navigators program aims to protect farm and ranch land by bridging gaps between producers leaving the profession and those who aspire to enter it. Read more in Mother Jones. 📷 The Nelson family of Oroville, Washington, says that as they weathered hard economic times in the cattle business, they often felt pressure to subdivide their land. REAL LIFE SUPERHEROES. Let’s give a big #Roar to The Humane Society – and to the Animal Rescue Teams and Animal Rescue Volunteers who save the lives of thousands of abused animals each year. Our community cares deeply about #AnimalWelfare and is proud to support this life-giving mission! #SocialMedia4SocialGood
Earlier this month, we rescued about 250 dogs and puppies from puppy mills in Oklahoma. We’re glad we were able to rescue them when we did as they were in rough shape. Several needed emergency veterinary care, and many may have long roads to recovery ahead due to malnourishment, dental disease and other ailments. Thanks to our incredible Animal Rescue Team, dedicated Animal Rescue Volunteers and the unwavering support of our amazing donors, these pups continue to receive all the care and love they need and deserve to support them on their healing journey. THANK YOU for making our lifesaving work possible! 💙
