Sotheby’s - Managing Director of Europe & Middle East

Excited to share a major milestone from our High Jewelry auction at Sotheby’s Geneva this month: ‘The Mediterranean Blue’, a supremely rare and exceptional Fancy Vivid Blue diamond weighing 10.03 carats, sold for CHF 17.9 million / US $21.5 million. It’s the most valuable diamond or jewel sold this year, a testament to the global demand for the rarest and most exceptional gems.   This sale was the highlight of an electrifying auction totaling CHF 42 million with 97% of lots sold.   It's incredibly rewarding to witness the level of expertise, passion, and teamwork that goes into presenting a diamond of this significance to the world. Congratulations to all involved!

  • The Contemporary Evening Auctions kicked off at #SothebysNewYork tonight with two back-to-back white-glove moments as ‘Selections from the Collection of Barbara Gladstone’ and ‘Im Spazio: The Collection of Daniella Luxembourg’ achieved 100% sell-through.   These two sales paid tribute to the vision and influence of the pioneering women collectors and gallerists who helped shape the trajectory of postwar and contemporary art—realizing a combined total of nearly $60 million.    Highlights included a rare Andy Warhol ‘Flowers’ that soared past its estimate to $4 million, Carroll Dunham’s ‘Bathers Seventeen (Black Hole)’ that set a new auction record, and an early Michelangelo Pistoletto mirror work that fetched $3.4 million—nearly triple its estimate.   The excitement continues with the Contemporary Day Auction, opening Friday, 16 May, at 9AM EDT. Link in bio to explore. Presented in partnership with CELINE.
