Next week will kickoff a new chapter in my career. I feel compelled to make this move because of what this product unlocks. In the last several months of exposure to thousands of agentic AI users I learned that personalization is crucial for AI empowerment. I also learned that a wide selection of integrations are crucial to ignite innovation. This has always been true of integrations, but AI makes it more true. With this in mind I am going to a strategically positioned company that is a key piece of the puzzle to empower more enterprises, and more people to do more - Zapier! Zapier has been building a non-tech friendly experience and broad selection of integrations for over a decade. They are making inroads into large enterprise, and I can’t wait to go pitch in on one of their upcoming successes! Stay tuned to hear more about the product. Predicting how AI will change jobs is speculative. At best. What doesn't require a crystal ball? Preparing teams for an AI-driven future. Practically, this looks like: 1️⃣ Framing AI as a way for people to excel at their existing work. AI is not a new outcome. It's a medium for achieving what your team already cares about. 2️⃣ Getting AI tools in the hands of the team. You don't need a master plan to start building and learning (in that order). 3️⃣ Setting AI use guardrails. Ironically, sensible boundaries actually boost creativity. 4️⃣ Enabling experimentation and practice-sharing. Including (especially) failures. Companies that enable wall-to-wall AI use are the new talent magnets. We can all see that where we work over the next few years will massively influence our future career opportunities.
