We’re looking for a senior-level actuarial analyst with a passion for data and insurance.

In this role, you’ll be managing rate levels, building advanced pricing tools, and bringing actuarial discipline to all kinds of questions — from distribution to underwriting, claims, and everything in between. You’ll also leverage competitive data and data science to optimize our customers’ experience and ensure fairness and accuracy in pricing.

In this role you’ll 

• Become an owner and expert on our insurance state rating plans and rate indications
• Contribute to predictive modeling projects while working closely with the Data Science team
• Craft rate filing support for new machine learning models
• Identify areas for pricing and underwriting action based on ongoing monitoring of results
• Build a knowledge base of competitor rating strategies and the overall competitive landscape
• Further your own actuarial education through CAS exams and industry research while applying those learnings on the job

What you’ll need

• 3 years of P&C actuarial experience; near ACAS or greater preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related degree
• General knowledge of data science programming languages such as R or Python (preferred), and proficiency in database query tools such as SQL
• Familiarity with predictive modeling concepts, including supervised and unsupervised machine-learning approaches (GLMs, decision trees, gradient boosting machines, random forests, clustering, etc.)
• Sensitivity to model transparency/ethics
