Scribd’s analysts solve problems and find opportunities to deliver value to our millions of users. We collaborate across the organization to evolve the product, ensure the success of our business, and delight  global users. This is the place for you if you’re a clear thinker & communicator who likes to take on big challenges, understand the nuance of user experience combined with a content acquisition strategy and make data informed decisions.

About the Role
The business strategy and analytics team is looking for a driven, curious, and experienced manager to be an advocate for our data in creating an impact oriented culture with stakeholders. To succeed, our analysis should be geared towards the insights that allow people to take actions.  This will require you to understand what they need instead of what they ask for.  In this critical role, you will help define our metrics for the 'go to market' teams success as well as the controllable input metrics that drive acquisition and retention. We are looking for an analytics leader who is comfortable  helping end customers define vague spaces and demonstrating a deep understanding of customer needs and wants.

You Will

    • Work hands-on in the data, using SQL, Looker and other tools to extract, analyze, and visualize data
    • Serve as a strong people manager, develop the next generation of leaders, and serve as a coach and mentor to the operations analysts
    • Review deliverables and maintain regular work sessions to provide analysts feedback
    • Provide insight into marketing performance through attribution as well as campaign and channel level reporting
    • Act as a critical partner  and collaborate closely with marketing, finance, and other product teams to arm them with the data and deep insights they need to make great decisions
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish the highest business priorities and opportunities by measuring expected reach and impact
    • Run the A/B testing design, strategy, and interpretation for payments, accounts, acquisition, marketing, and the international teams
    • Strategically advance our analytics efforts by surfacing challenges and opportunities to tech and analytics leadership and recommending solutions

You Have

    • 5+ years experience with quantitative data analysis.
    • 1+ years of experience managing a team of individual contributors
    • Expertise in SQL, proficiency with Excel and BI tools.
    • Plus if you have experience with Looker.
    • BA/BS degree in math, stats, econ, physics or equivalent experience.
    • Highly analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to work through complex, ambiguous problems using data.
