Overview

The Financial Systems team optimizes operational processes for internal financial stakeholders, providing operational efficiencies and insights to help run and grow GitHub. Your role will partner with teams across the organization, bringing innovative technology solutions to life from problem definition to execution. Regardless of your location or experience level, the Financial Systems team offers the opportunity to actively create, develop, and implement critical operations and programs that directly contribute to informing and growing the business.

As an Application Integration Engineer, you'll help improve how data is transferred across the applications in the business systems ecosystem, across other internal systems and work with our business partners to identify and implement efforts for improved efficiency. You’ll help build solutions that combine data sources, provide insights, and critical information to internal teams here at GitHub. Data, by nature, exists in disparate sources and the challenge for this role is to identify and take action to intelligently integrate these disparate data elements to provide seamless automation and essential business continuity.


Responsibilities

  • Build integrations across those applications overseen by the Financial Systems Team, external touchpoints with other Business Systems applications, and with other internal services.
  • Develop and maintain scalable integration solutions that ensures efficient data processing and minimizes manual data processing for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and actively participate in the solution design process collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points in production integrations and integration projects, developing and implementing mitigation measures in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for the expansion of integration footprints to meet business needs, considering the input and insights of stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with application integrations.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade integration solutions meeting complex business requirements.
  • Experience understanding API integrations, RESTful APIs, and web services.
  • Proven experience writing and verbal communication skills with a strong cognitive ability especially with respect to understanding, documenting, and describing complex technical subjects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Integration architecture experience with Boomi, Mulesoft or other iPaaS solutions.
  • Experience with SaaS business applications such as Concur, Salesforce, Workday, and Zuora.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Services such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Storage.


Compensation Range

USD $73,500.00 - USD $195,000.00 /Yr.

In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
