The Role

We are looking for a Finance BI/Analytics Manager to support the build-out of a best-in-class Finance data platform to scale our reporting and analytics workflows. This highly motivated individual will be critical to our business transformation and will have a demonstrated ability to make key contributions to data analytics and reporting process automation. The role will be expected to develop strategic partnerships across both Finance and IT organizations to achieve our goals.

The role will focus on optimizing the data supply chain from applications such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and FP&A to our Data Warehouse/Data Lake and delivering insights by leveraging BI software. You should be comfortable managing and developing a portfolio of BI solutions in addition to driving innovation that aligns with our strategic vision to maximize the value of our data.

This role is based out of any location on the West Coast of the United States.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with IT to build out a best-in-class Finance data platform.
• Share best practices for data structure and analytics workflows for implementation.
• Develop BI, Data Warehousing, and Reporting solutions to address growing business reporting, analytics, and data requirements.
• Develop and build dashboards to manage, communicate, and display data.
• Collaborate with FP&A on reporting requirements for initial platform rollout.
• Understand the existing Finance Systems landscape – identify opportunities for analytics and reporting and implement.
• Support roadmap planning for future BI/analytics initiatives.
• Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels. Ensure all stakeholders are aware of project decisions and status. Keep Finance leadership informed of the status and escalate as appropriate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence and analytics
• 5+ years working with Data Warehouse technologies and modeling best practices in Databricks (preferred)
• Experience with building/managing a suite of BI solutions and driving user adoption
• Ability to create and enhance data preparation solutions with Alteryx or Tableau Prep
• Advanced SQL for building complex joins and analytical queries
• Experience with integration tools and API led connectivity
• Strong visualization skills with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
• Ability to work with large data sets, obtain information, identify trends, and solve complex problems
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or another technical related field

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python/Spark
• Data Warehouse/Data Lake configuration using Databricks
• Experience using Alteryx
• Understanding of data governance best practices, implementation experience a plus
• Software industry experience is a plus
