Job Description

Within Discover’s Corporate Risk Management division, this role serves on the Data Risk Oversight team to help oversee the design and performance of various enterprise data management and governance programs. Program coverage varies by assignment, but generally includes data quality, data stewardship, metadata management, end user computing, and records management.

Responsibilities

• Consults with business partners to develop and enhance control environment and key risk indicators. 
• Provides effective challenge to the design and performance of key data risk management activities.
• Conduct targeted risk assessments as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in reviewing new initiatives and third-party engagements.
• Support continuous process improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technology 
• 4+ years of experience in Information Technology, Data Analysis, Metadata Management, Data Quality  
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, Data Analysis, Metadata Management, Data Quality 

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

• 6+ years of experience in Information Technology, Data Analysis, Metadata Management, Data Quality 
• Relevant Risk Management and/or Technology Certifications
