Responsibilities

  • Develops and leads an Agile team focused on next-generation data and analytic technologies. 
  • Provides technical consulting in support of the creation and enhancement of analytical platforms and tools. 
  • Provides technical consulting to application development teams during application design and development for highly complex and critical data projects. 
  • Partners on a team to deliver data projects, including migration to new data technologies for unstructured, streaming, and high-volume data. 
  • Develops and deploys big data applications. 
  • Builds and administers large scale data platforms. Integrates next-generation data analytic tools into the big data ecosystem. 
  • Engineers and supports Control-M and IBM Workload Scheduling environments that run batch and ad-hoc jobs processing on servers and containers, in the cloud and on-prem.
  • Establishes and maintains Community of Practice for scheduling platform and holds consultations with our customers across the enterprise
  • Consults scheduling services customers regarding job and schedule design best practices
  • Writes SOPs and other documentation for support staff and customers
  • Monitors Control-M environment and scales using orchestration
  • Participates in the support rotation schedule providing 24x7 platform support

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field 
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration, Engineering, or related field 
  • In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration, Engineering, or related field 

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration, Engineering, or related field 
  • BMC Accreditation /Certification
  • 2+ years of experience supporting IBM Workload Scheduler/Maestro
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting (i.e. SQL, Java, Python, Go, bash, Power shell, Shell, Perl, YAML)
  • Experience using automation platforms (i.e. Ansible, Chef, Terraform) to provision infrastructure or applications
  • Basic understanding of OpenShift Container Platform architecture
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience presenting across all levels of organizational structures
  • Strong team and leadership skills
