About the role:
The product team is looking for a driven, innovative, and experienced Discovery Product Management leader who can: 
• Understand the desired user experiences and create strategies for how our machine learning platform that powers search, recommendations and browse will bring those experiences to life.
• Thinking holistically about how a discovery platform can support the entire business.
• Build products that are backed by large-scale ML models to encourage users to discover and enjoy content.

To succeed, our service must consistently recommend the most compelling content. To delight users on each visit, at a global scale and with varying levels of user data is a big challenge. In this critical role, you will help shape the experience of cross-content discovery. We are looking for a product leader who is comfortable using data and creating a user-centric roadmap while collaborating and coordinating with partners across the company.  

You will:
• Construct a product roadmap using domain knowledge and partnerships to drive, prioritize and execute opportunities for the discovery platform.
• Gather user feedback and usage data to understand their goals and needs, validate product assumptions and communicate requirements.
• Partner with engineering, design, product, marketing and data science to identify opportunities to improve the quality and relevance of recommendations.
• Influence others, manage stakeholders and communicate progress and evolving strategy through regular presentations to executives and partners.
• Break work down into well-prioritized plans, evaluate trade-offs, and define and measure success.
• Inspire the team by demonstrating customer impact through clear success metrics and real feedback

You Have:
• 7+ years of product management or system development experience.
• Demonstrated collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, data scientists, product managers and executives.
• A person who is naturally a self-starter, can drive an initiative through execution and enjoys working across multiple teams.
• Experience participating in technical discussions and the confidence to debate ML engineers to ensure decisions meet user and business needs.
• Experience translating how technical products meet customer needs to external stakeholders in ways that influence both business and technical strategy.
• Strategic platform and system thinker who can balance big picture strategy with detailed, flawless execution.
• Experience building applied ML/AI based solutions or practical knowledge of machine learning, retrieval/ranking and model deployment in a production environment.
