About the Role:

We are seeking a curious, experienced professional to design and build analytic solutions that will inform business decisions, drive operations, measure our performance and demonstrate our value as a company. They will partner with our Financial, Clinical, and Operational stakeholders to answer complex business and clinical questions that will empower Cityblock to support our members as effectively and efficiently as possible.Healthcare data is complex and vast, so you must be excited about sinking your teeth into complex problems, untangling them and communicating your findings to the team. Behind every data element is a real person, with real problems that Cityblock is working hard to address, and the Analytics team is responsible for delivering accurate and timely information to steer these efforts.   • Familiarity with the Google analytics tech stack is a plus (BigQuery, Looker).
  • Establish credibility and trusted working partnerships with clinical, operational and research leaders to identify levers for broad system change, pull them, and measure and communicate the results. 
  • Design and execute evaluation and measurement plans that effectively assess the outcomes of Cityblock’s programs and initiatives. 
  • Leverage complex statistical and machine learning approaches to demonstrate clinical and financial outcomes associated with Cityblock projects and programs. 
  • Communicates results effectively through presentations, white papers, and peer reviewed publications.
  • Implement and configure reporting technologies in the Google tech stack, as well as use DBT and SQL
  • Perform complex descriptive analyses over production-scale data sets to drive business decisions. Critically interrogate and interpret data to spot patterns and explain data.
  • Design reports to steer our value-driven business lines, including the development of traditional and non-traditional success metrics. Work with our clinical operations team to design and implement robust evaluation frameworks.
  • Ensure data quality and validation and utilize a range of data cleansing techniques to correct both ad hoc and systemic issues.
  • Drive automation capabilities into reporting solutions
  • Retain our analytics repository and other relevant documentation
  • Supports development of your own professional growth and other analysts on the team by learning, sharing and training on best practices

Requirements for the Role:

  • Master's Degree in relevant field: computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, health sciences or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience within the healthcare industry
  • 5+ years experience in advanced analytics, delivering actionable insights from data, database and big data analytics environments
  • 3+ years of experience developing statistical and machine learning models to answer complex healthcare problems leveraging a wide range of techniques (generalized linear regression, negative binomial regression, k-means clustering, decision trees, etc.)
  • Experience with business intelligence (data visualization and dashboarding) such as Tableau, Looker
  • Strong experience in multiple scripting languages (SQL, Scala, R, Python, STATA, SAS, etc.)
  • Proficiency with SQL for multiple databases (BigQuery, standard MSSQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Teradata)
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong problem solving skills and growth mindset are essential

We take into account an individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is: 

$102,100 - $151,700
