Overview
We’re seeking a Revenue Compensation Analyst to help architect, operationalize, and scale GitHub’s transition to metered sales compensation strategy. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role designed for someone who is passionate about all things sales compensation. You'll be the strategic architect behind our sales incentive programs, managing compensation processes and frameworks that drive sales performance, inspire our Sellers, and directly contribute to GitHub’s revenue growth!
Responsibilities
- Administer the sales compensation management software tool, ensuring accurate calculation and distribution of sales compensation.
- Configure sales compensation plans utilizing credits, measurements, incentive and deposit rules in various use cases.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to sales compensation.
- Own Sales Compensation Territory and Quota Management – geography rules, territory programs, territory hierarchy, rules for account alignment, quota setup and distribution process.
- Work with Revenue Compensation strategy to drive sales incentive strategies.
- Work with Admin team to manage day to day Sales Compensation inquiries from our sales team
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related Field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience working in SAP Incentive Management (Callidus Cloud) or similar sales performance management tool
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one end to end sales performance management implementation experience.
- Expertise in comp elements like classifiers, lookup tables, rate tables, formulae etc.
- Experience in writing advanced SQL queries.
- Very well versed with sales compensation concepts like proration, draws, clawbacks, leaves etc.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, reporting, and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $66,200.00 - USD $175,600.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
