The People Technology & Analytics Job Family owns the technology and reporting solutions at GitLab. Working in partnership with the People Leadership team, they play both a strategic and tactical role setting the direction for the technology and analytics strategy at GitLab and operating with a “data-first” mindset.

Don’t have a ton of knowledge about GitLab yet? Don’t worry. We have an extensive onboarding and training program at GitLab and you will be provided with necessary DevOps and GitLab knowledge to fulfill your role.

What you'll do in this role

  • Design, develop, and continuously optimize reporting and dashboard solutions that meet business needs and requirements
  • Create opportunities for automation, improvements and scalability
  • Orchestrate expert level data visualizations and presentations that convey a meaningful story and actionable insights to business partners
  • Translate technical outputs into clear narratives with recommendations to help achieve business objectives
  • Make recommendations to improve existing process design for data-collection methodologies
  • Build effective relationships and collaborate with team members, business leaders and partners to solve organizational problems

We're looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in an analytics role (People or Recruiting Analytics function preferred).
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills including written communication and presentation development.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience modeling within large-scale relational databases
  • Experience developing reporting and dashboards with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
  • Strong data visualization & storytelling skills
  • Solid experience with regression analysis and other statistical modeling techniques
  • Experience with Workday and Greenhouse preferred
  • Ability to use GitLab
  • A shared interest in our values, and working in accordance with those values

For Colorado residents: The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $84,000- $126,000 for Colorado residents only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for >Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
