We are seeking stunning Data Scientists to help us define and realize our vision for delivering insights across the company. 

WhatisAnalytics Engineer atVillageMD? 

As part of the Analytics Engineering team, you will be a part of a groundbreaking group of technologists, software engineers, data scientists and analysts, provenancing source to target, navigating differences in source across various markets and helping in enrichment variable determination. Your work will help ensure that every Data Engineer, Clinical, Enrichment Engineer and Product team is empowered with insights at the point of care. 

We need to ensure every area of the business has trustworthy data to fuel insight and innovation.

Integrating clinical and payer data into a common repository with source to target determination. Understanding all the nuances and variances within each source and  building provenance accordingly

At the same time, the technology we use in the common repository and metrics is the vital part of building these pipelines and helping us get to a state where analytics will derive insights from. This is why it is vital in understanding the both the data and the engineering aspects behind the data pipeline

Whatwillmakeyousuccessfulhere? 

 

  • Designing and implementing analysis that measure and help primary care physicians and patients.
  • Building Provenance for payer and provider data fitting into VIllageMD’s final data repository
  • Working with variances within the different data sources and fitting them into the common structure
  • Gathering data from various places within the data sources and extracting key provider/payer data which will fit into the respective domains
  • Defining and evaluating key metrics across a Value Base Care delivery model, communicating a robust understanding of what moves these metrics and why.
  • Empowering the company to answer questions by building high quality ground truth data products.
  • Working closely with a range of stakeholders, including physicians, population health analysts, and clinical operations to improve our technology.
  • Contribute to shared Data Engineering tooling & standards to improve the productivity and quality of output for data products across the company.
  • A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust by delivering value

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of hands-on Healthcare data
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with relational database and SQL
  • 5 years of software development experience such as python, R, scala
  • 2 years of experience developing and deploying analytical solutions using AWS/Azure/GCP

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with healthcare data, claims or clinical
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets to identify gaps and inconsistencies, provide data insights, and advance effective product solutions
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with Spark/Glue
  • Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
  • Pressing for high quality and scaling data science work

For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
