Position Overview:

Blue Orange Digital is looking for a Business Analyst to join our multi-disciplinary team to help drive the success of client projects. Success in this role will require someone that can not just analyze data, but understand and communicate the business context of that analysis to a range of stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate who is not just data-driven but is data-obsessed. Our teams build modern data platforms for our clients and help drive value through the delivery of business intelligence and advanced analytics.

The Business Analyst role is a critical part of the ability to deliver high-value analytics for our clients. The ideal candidate is someone who is relentless at asking the questions needed to drive a project scope to a refined and actionable set of requirements. This person should be comfortable collaborating with technical team members as well as business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities by efficiently working across multiple clients, effectively prioritizing and executing on competing priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
• Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
• Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, and recommending actions to ensure timely completion
• Communicate client requirements effectively to technical teams, ensuring successful implementation of solutions
• Ad-hoc data exploration and analysis to uncover valuable insights and develop compelling stories that effectively communicate the value to clients
• Continuously learn and grow, proactively filling knowledge and skill gaps to contribute effectively to the team's success

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or information systems
• 5+ years of related work experience
• Extensive experience in data, including research and analysis processes
• Experience with SQL and Python is a plus
• Ability to work effectively with little oversight, proactively seeking clarity, and making well-informed decisions to drive progress and deliver results
• Experience using business intelligence tools to construct reports and dashboards
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
• Ability to identify and work with specific data that will be decisive in strategic business management
• Excellent research skills, with the ability to efficiently and effectively gather information
• Mathematical and statistical skills
• Skills with presentation platforms, spreadsheets, and report creation

Salary: $4000 - $6000 USD per month.
