About the Role

We currently have an analytics team of 13 people, and growing, where most analysts are focused on the discovery and support of functional teams including discovery on what to develop, setting goals for teams, and analyzing launched features for impact. 
As we grow, we are looking to specialize and want someone to come in and help manage and grow our self service BI solution, Looker, which we formally launched in July of 2021.

We are looking for a driven, detail oriented, and experienced person to maintain and build our reporting suite in Looker.  This person will also be an advocate for our self service data platform by training and holding stakeholders accountable to using reports. To succeed, our work should be geared towards the insights that allow people to take actions.  This will require you to understand what they need instead of what they ask for.  In this critical role, you will help define our success SLA’s around data accuracy and data recency for standard reports and repeatable data delivery.  We are looking for an analytics professional who is comfortable helping end customers define vague requests and demonstrating a deep understanding of the business need for such reports.

You Will

    • Creating reports from summary data with actionable items to track performance and support decision making that impact the business.
    • Work with Product, Finance, and Engineering to design data recording systems and reporting source infrastructure
    • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout
    • Identify, lead, and oversee projects and analysis related to reporting needs
    • Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements
    • Creates specifications for reports based on business requests
    • Collaborate with management and business partners to identify requirements and objectives of requested analyses and reports, in order to exceed expectations
    • Be the point person to interface with data engineering
    • Leverage current analytical and reporting tools to streamline reporting and improve the end user experience
    • Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database systems
    • Responsible for repeatable SQL and BI tool queries, BI tool models and dashboards, and data consolidation

You Have

    • 5 or more years’ experience in an analytical support role
    • 3 or more years’ experience using SQL for data extraction and analytics
    • Knowledge of a variety of systems and reporting applications
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
    • Ability to provide actionable recommendations
    • Ability to effectively gather data from various sources for reporting and analysis, and to effectively utilize data and system tools available
    • Ability to streamline and automate processes
    • Ability to coordinate interdepartmental activities, balance multiple priorities, and ensure quality standards

Preferred Skills/Abilities

    • Experience working with engineering or applications groups
    • Experience with data storage schema design and implementation
    • Experience with Looker or similar Business Intelligence tools
