About the Role
Trevco Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data integration and ETL processes in a fully remote capacity. You’ll build pipelines that collect, transform, and centralize data from platforms like Amazon Seller Central, NetSuite, and PostgreSQL into a secure warehouse, enabling reporting in Power BI. This role collaborates across teams (BI, Finance, Ops, Engineering) to drive data-informed decisions company-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines across Amazon, NetSuite, PostgreSQL, and more
- Automate workflows using AWS Glue, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
- Model scalable data warehouse schemas optimized for Power BI
- Ensure data quality through validation, alerting, and anomaly detection
- Develop integrations with external APIs (Amazon SP-API, NetSuite, etc.)
- Collaborate with BI to prepare clean datasets and performance-optimized views
- Implement data backup and governance policies
- Mentor team members and recommend improvements to the data stack
- Partner with stakeholders to refine data requirements and troubleshoot issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of data engineering or BI engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS Glue and PySpark/Python
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data workflows
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redshift, or Snowflake
- Knowledge of NetSuite APIs and Amazon Seller Central data
- Strong understanding of data modeling and warehouse design
- Experience structuring data for Power BI and writing DAX queries
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions, etc.)
- Excellent remote communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Haves
- Apache Airflow or DAG development experience
- Knowledge of AWS Redshift, Athena, Lambda, DMS
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks
- CI/CD for data jobs and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Deep ERP knowledge (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Retail or e-commerce data experience
- AWS certifications or relevant credentials
- Leadership or mentoring experience
