About Internal Audit
Discover’s Internal Audit Department (IAD) is committed to providing insightful perspectives, leveraging specialized talent, and delivering a refreshing experience to all of our stakeholders. Summary:
Join a group of inquisitive, specialized, inspiring Data Scientists who are dedicated to transforming the traditional auditing processes with big data and advanced analytics! Our team is ahead of the curve in creating audit use cases using the latest AI and Machine Learning techniques (NLP, COR, RPA, Neural Networks, Graph, etc.) for risk identification and remediation. As a Data Science team member, you'll have the opportunity to use, develop, and research algorithms to monitor risk behaviors, detect anomalies, and uncover hidden patterns and risk themes.
Responsibilities:
Design and autonomously execute moderately complex data analytics objectives based on defined or undefined requirements
Assess suitable data sources and data quality for fitness of use
Produce technical documentation as well as narratives to support test detail documentation
Effectively communicate test results and data issues, trend across projects to internal teams
Conduct peer reviews and provide effective challenge to test logic/execution
Provide analytics support to auditors in performing risk assessment of business activities, exposures, and the materiality of loss
Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics or related field
2+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science or related field
Bonus Points If You Have
Master’s Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
Experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science or related field
Certifications: CAP, Six Sigma, STEM, Business, Risk, or Audit related certifications, AWS, Machine Learning, Data isualization related certifications
