As a Senior Go-to-Market (GTM) Manager, you will be responsible for bringing Shopify and Shopify Plus platform products to market. Working with cross-functional teams across product, product marketing, marketing, sales, and support, this role will be responsible for creating an end-to-end GTM strategy and executing that strategy in the market. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the product life cycle, market research techniques, excellent communications skills, and proven product marketing, product and audience growth, or life cycle marketing experience, preferably in the B2B SaaS space.
Job Description
Lead cross-functional teams with influence and partner with global and regional individuals to develop and execute GTM strategies for product brands, solutions, and platforms.
Partner with product teams and product marketing to develop the GTM foundations such as target personas, messaging and positioning, pricing and packaging, relevant segmentation models, etc.
Deliver research and analysis to feed market insights, competitive intelligence and customer voice into the product discovery process to build capabilities that deliver on merchant needs and expectations.
Create GTM plans that take products, platforms and solutions to market. Empower and enable cross-functional teams to execute on GTM tactics.
Build strong enablement tools for channels such as marketing, sales and support.
Use all findings in market to drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and merchant retention with an integrated approach.
Define and implement product-related campaigns that influence platform sales and product growth through events, customer stories, etc.
Work with the integrated marketing team to deliver strategic cross-marketing initiatives beyond product.
Use data and analytics to forecast GTM strategy performance and measure impact of all GTM activities from year 1 to year 3.
Be the voice of the customer and the market to bring more Shopify to the world.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a product marketing or GTM function related to payments, banking and/or money industry
Exceptional skills in leading people and cross-functional teams with influence across a global team with a complex matrix.
Strong knowledge of the Saas business models and technology industry in a B2B space.
Experience launching new products in multiple regions, globally.
Passion for the product marketing, growth, and lifecycle craft and strong understanding and experience executing the key pillars of go-to- market and/or product marketing
Ability to create strong partnerships with sales and account management teams
Experience owning the entire buyer and customer experience of a product portfolio and platform
Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships
