The Sr. Product Manager: Marketing Analytics is responsible for building and managing the analytics roadmap for the GitHub Marketing org. This role works with Marketing leaders to prioritize and organize analytics needs and solutions, across data capture, flow, and visualization. They will write requirements, including user stories,  for analytics solutions to meet those needs, working with Revenue Operations, Marketing Engineering, and IT for execution. The role will also keep stakeholders and leadership informed on progress and assist with additional requirements and requests. When an opportunity or gap is identified, this role would bring together a cross functional team (Engineering, Data, Analytics, etc.) to collectively identify and resolve impediments. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, especially in performing quality control procedures before releasing final product outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain the analytics roadmap for the Marketing and Growth organization.  
  • Translate business goals and end user needs into analytics strategy and requirements documentation.
  • Communicate direction and priorities to development and stakeholder teams, as well as other matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
  • Monitor health of the marketing analytics ecosystem in order to identify and resolve gaps and action opportunities for improvement. 
  • Ensure data products and capabilities are compliant with various local, state, and country specific data regulations.
  • Identifies goals, metrics, and analytics to determine impact; continually making recommendations and refinements to the project backlog based on learnings.
  • Advocates for the end user and stakeholder by empathizing with and understanding user needs and becoming the domain expert.
  • Provide regular updates with senior management and internal customers regarding status, risks, mitigations, and change control.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in Product Management or related area with deep familiarity in Marketing or Growth disciplines. 
  • Experience taking large scale marketing data initiatives from vision to reality, working with large volumes & variety of data, cross functional technical/business teams, and system, such as SalesForce, Eloqua, Adobe Analytics, etc
  • Must have hands-on experience in analyzing Marketing data (campaigns, leads, attributions, customer life cycle data, etc.) 
  • Deep practical knowledge of industry standard Marketing metrics, KPIs, self-service reports or dashboards provided by open source / commercial platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, structured/unstructured data, and datastores (Databricks, MySQL, etc.).

Minimum salary of $104,400 to maximum $234,300.

At GitHub certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.


Location: In this role, you can work remotely from anywhere in the United States or onsite in one of GitHub’s U.S. offices (San Francisco, Bellevue, Raleigh).
