You’ve worked with service-oriented architectures and consumed APIs. You know DevOps and SRE. You are Agile and look for opportunities to improve delivery flow.
You’ve owned application infrastructure including provisioning, monitoring and automation of infrastructure and application deployments.
Your Next Challenge:
- Developing end-to-end solutions to resolve scaling & distribution architectural problems.
- Working at the top of coding-standards, continuous-integration and continuous delivery methodologies.
- Using TDD to deliver testable and tested code.
- Working with development team and operations to support and fine-tune development and production environments, tune and optimize code.
- Participating in a fast-paced agile process.
- Pushing for improvement to process and results.
What You’ll Need:
- 4+ years of working experience with Scala/Java/Python in production
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and No-SQL (Redis, Mongo, Dynamo, Neo4j, etc.) in production
- Detailed understanding of OO programming, and Design Patterns
- Experience with distributed steaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, etc.) in production
- Experience with message broker software (RMQ, MSQ)
- Experience with workflow management tools such as AirFlow and/or Job Scheduler
- Working experience with Terraform and Docker is valued
- Experience working with Git
- Experience working and deploying within Linux environment (creation of shell scrips)
- Experience with Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with paired programming
- Personal initiative, strong social skills
- Computer Science degree or equivalent
Nice To Have:
- Expertise or exposure to technology tools such as Hive and Spark
- Understanding of architecture principles and design patterns using parallel large-scale distributed frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark
- Experience with AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery
- Experience administering, designing, developing and maintaining software solutions in Hive Production clusters
- Experience with data presentation tools such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
- Experience with variety of web technologies such as HTML5/CSS3, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, etc.
- Public/Private Cloud infrastructure experience - such as AWS, OpenStack, etc.
- Lean Product Development
Mental and Physical Demands:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally moving objects up to 20 lbs and frequently moving objects up to 10 lbs.
- Frequent sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing; Time of each will vary.
- Constant operation of computer and frequent usage of other office machinery, including (but not limited to) calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc.
- Constant assessment of accuracy and thoroughness of the work assignment.
