We are a dynamic team of entrepreneurial and clinical professionals with backgrounds in healthcare and technology creating a virtual behavioral health company that combines the best in human-based care augmented by data science and artificial intelligence. You will be instrumental in building robust and scalable data pipelines so we can use this data to take better care of our patients while scaling the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to gather and store large quantities of clinical and business intelligence data in a production environment
  • Manage research, ingestion, and synthesis of new data sources, including building and maintaining data infrastructure
  • Distill business requirements working with clinical and operational stakeholders to build reports and data visualizations which establish a reliable source of truth
  • Utilize engineering best practices for data infrastructure, including code reviews, testing and reproducibility
  • Deliver aggregated data to business executives and analysts and other end users so they can analyze it and apply the results to improving clinical and business operations
  • Be an active, creative team member that will help InStride build our data analysis reporting and tools
  • Straddle the line between data analytics and data engineering in order to deliver projects end to end

What You Need to Succeed in the Role

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Data Engineering, Analytics, and/or Software Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, ETL tools, R, Python, and similar
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau 
  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimize BI processes
  • Relational and non-relational database experience such as Redshift, Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, etc.
  • Passion for and basic knowledge of statistical methodologies and feature engineering
  • You write readable, quality code
  • Demonstrating advanced knowledge of software engineering industry-leading practices, including version control (Github is a plus), testing, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of what an analytics enrichment layer does and how to implement one
  • Experience with the AWS stack or other cloud computing technologies a plus
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, including claims generation and processing is a plus
  • Experience building analytics ETL for a variety of business functions, including marketing, operations, and finance is a plus
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • You collaborate well with others and are dedicated to the company's success
