About the Role:

Do you have a passion for building efficient and scalable tools and processes to take raw data from production systems and massage it into user-friendly datasets for business use? If so, this role could be a great fit!

We are seeking a full-time Analytics Engineer to work as part of the Analytics Engineering team to democratize data and reporting to drive strategy and measure performance against KPIs across the business. We work with thousands of tables in our BigQuery data warehouse, and we manage an advanced tech stack using both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We have unique data from many different sources to serve the entire company’s data needs and with that comes unique and exciting challenges. 

In this role, you will:

• Partner with Data Science, Business Analytics, and Finance teams to understand business needs and enable data-driven decision-making across the company.
• Understand raw data sources, write efficient code to transform and ingest clean, usable data into a warehouse for stakeholders usage across the organization
• Collaborate with analysts to bridge deeper technical / data problems and enable the team to solve key business questions and needs
• Build exploratory dashboards in Looker to ensure consistent availability and accuracy of data
• Keep data sources fresh as requirements and definitions change.
• Address data quality issues and build alerting
• Effectively document the ELT process.

You may be the right fit if you have: 

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
• Between 1-3 years of experience in a data, analytics, and/or programming focused role
• Expertise in SQL
• Experience with or a strong desire to learn dbt (Data Build Tool)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Looker or Tableau
• Basic knowledge of Python or any scripting language for general and data-specific purposes

Travel: Travel is not anticipated for this role.
