Analytics Engineer
Zencore is a fast growing company founded by former Google Cloud leaders, architects and engineers. We are looking for candidates that have significant experience with Google Cloud to join our team. Our engagements are designed to unblock, remove risk and accelerate timelines for customers that are migrating to Google or need help with data and application modernization. We embed into customer teams to help with strategy, technology decisions and co-development style execution.
What you will do...
As an Analytics Engineer, you will be working with fast-paced innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation. Your expertise will guide fast-paced, innovative companies through their digital transformation, making Google Cloud the cornerstone of their progress. You will be expected to cover a large spectrum of technology topics like ETL/ELT, data modeling using dbt, data governance, CI/CD pipelines, and data visualization tools.
Who we need...
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in analytics engineering or a similar role, preferably with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, dbt within a cloud data warehouse and experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Expertise in ETL optimization techniques, especially within cloud-based data warehouses
- Solid understanding of and experience with GCP analytics and data warehousing solutions, particularly BigQuery.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g. Looker)
- Experienced in working with multiple external datasets, including cleaning, merging, and manipulating data.
- Design and maintain scalable and reliable data models and warehouses, ensuring they support complex analysis and reporting needs.
- Leverage GCP tools and services to enhance data quality, efficiency, and accessibility across the organization.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within the analytics landscape.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with DataOps, IaC (e.g., Terraform), and modern data platform architectures is a plus.
