Holman is currently accepting resumes for the position of Analytics Engineer for a Full Time Opportunity with our Analytics Delivery department.

The Analytics Delivery Team has the special task of supporting client facing analysts with the development of new tools and fleet metrics as well as providing internal consulting for other Holman Departments and Business Units. Together our ultimate goal is to advance the culture of analytics for fleet and broaden our relationships with customers by arming our analysts and account managers with access to relevant and actionable insights.

As an analyst on this team you'll be working with some of the most creative and talented people in the business. You will also build relationships with diverse groups of leaders at Holman and be exposed to the needs and concerns of many other teams as they turn to Analytics Delivery for support with their most challenging questions.

Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Participation in team initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.

  • Completion of project portions to support Supervisor direction.

  • Completion of stretch assignments as required by Supervisor.

  • Capable of independently executing on all phases of a project

  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.

  • Identify and leverage subject matter experts and resources within other departments at Holman as necessary throughout duration of project.

  • Engage with clients, prospects and internal stakeholders to uncover needs, challenges or goals, map out project objectives and deliverables, design custom solutions and establish timeline for project completion working primarily with Holman’s core customer base.

  • Deriving business insight and developing recommendations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience with state-of-the- art advanced analytic and quantitative tools, modeling techniques, and data mining procedures.

  • Produce data narratives using our analytical toolset for consumption by internal stakeholders.

  • Develop communication that provides clear description of tools and methodologies to promote understanding among user groups.

  • Assist in the creation of analytical models to help advance the application of data science to the fleet management industry.

  • Facilitation of the departmental onboarding process

  • Enhance current financial & quantitative analysis tools.

  • Participate in and present information to clients & prospects during meetings to support Holman sales efforts.

  • Ensure complete documentation of any project and invested time is maintained and properly tracked within the project management system.

  • Seek opportunities for innovations and enhancements to existing processes and tools to further benefit clients and key stakeholders.

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Education and/or Training:

  • BA/BS degree required. Preferably in the field of: Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science.

  • MBA or technical Master’s in relevant field preferred.

  • Valid Passport - Some travel may be required in Canada or US (up to 10%).

  • Strong proficiency with SQL

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Minimum 12-18 months in Data Analyst I role or similar.

  • Demonstrated experience in performing data analysis and ability to perform research using the internet, industry publications, and other research tools.

  • Demonstrate a clear ability to drive results for internal and external clients in the area of data analytics.

  • Ability to analyze data, draw logical conclusions and prepare and present a quality data narrative.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau, Business Objects and PowerBI.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional environment.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with data and making well developed recommendations.

  • Minimum 12-18 months experience which includes client engagement/customer service.

Planning/Organizational/Managerial Knowledge:

  • Creative, advanced problem solving skills, and the ability to transfer prior experience to new assignments, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities while maintaining high quality of work.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team

  • Must be able to think critically at a strategic level

  • Demonstrate leadership of projects assigned with clients or internal personnel

  • Must have the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to independently execute on all phases of a project with minimal oversight.

Communicating & Influencing Skills:

  • Must have excellent communication skill: verbal, written and visual.

  • Must be able to produce formal deliverables (written, visual storyboard, presentation) to communicate analysis findings.

  • Excellent presentation skills are required.

  • Strong customer service background and keen listening skills.

Compensation: Starting at $90,000
