We are looking for an Analytics Manager to join our commercial Data Business.
In this role, the successful candidate will lead a technical team in working closely with business development and translational science teams to explore Tempus’s Data, and improve and scale up our analytical workflows to help deliver data more effectively to our pharmaceutical customers. As such, the candidate will get a chance to work with one of the largest molecular and clinical databases of cancer patients in the world, learn about genomic data science and standardize our documentation/communication tools.
What you’ll do:
- Become an expert in Tempus multimodal clinical and genomic data
- Lead a team responsible for multi-modal data feasibility studies leveraging to identify patient cohorts for Tempus’ oncology data licensing and research business. Partner with Tempus’ Pharma Business Development and Life Sciences Strategy & Operations teams to generate fit-for-purpose cohorts supporting pharma research
- Drive customer-focused improvements to the Tempus data model by collaborating with Tempus’ Data Science, Model Query, and Engineering teams
- Partner with the RWD Engineering team to design and implement OCR/NLP models for prospective cohort generation
- Collaborate with Research, Engineering & Data Science teams to develop and deliver innovative database solutions
- Drive continual improvement of the Tempus platform and analytical tools by communicating client feedback, staying ahead of research and industry trends, and influencing our leadership and global account strategy teams
- Document, summarize, and communicate highly technical results and methods clearly to non-technical audiences
Base Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in analytical or healthcare informatics
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in an analytical or consulting role within or in support of the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
- Strong command of SQL and/or other scripting languages to retrieve data from various bioinformatics databases
- Experience with AWS and/or Bigquery and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Good data visualization skills and familiarity with R data visualization packages
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to execute complex projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with engineering practices for research computing (Docker, Git, and Github, code review, Linux, cloud computing)
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to shift priorities seamlessly
- Demonstrate Tempus’ values by acting with integrity, respect and trust
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, fast-paced environment with executive stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
