JOB SUMMARY:
As an Associate AI Scientist at Trace3, you will experiment with cutting-edge approaches and develop proprietary models that tackle unique and complex challenges. Leveraging a consultative mindset, you will support the development and implementation of AI solutions that contribute to measurable business value for our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in data science, analytics, and business problem-solving.
This role requires a strong foundation in data science methodologies, business process optimization, and consultative problem-solving. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate their AI journey while delivering measurable business value.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in developing and implementing AI solutions using advanced machine learning techniques, prescriptive/optimization methods, simulations, and causal inference.
- Support process improvement initiatives by preparing data and conducting initial analyses.
- Help develop and validate statistical models under senior guidance.
- Collaborate with team members to transform business requirements into analytical approaches.
- Participate in client workshops and help translate technical findings into understandable insights.
- Support the development of automated monitoring solutions for business processes.
- Create technical reports and experiment results.
- Assist in creation of project deliverables and executive read-outs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in data science or related analytical roles.
- Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Fundamental understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Understanding of common generative AI applications and architectures, such as retrieval augmented generation (“RAG”) and contextual routing.
- Strong appetite for continual learning and upskilling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP).
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Coursework or internship experience in data analysis or machine learning.
- Comfort with selecting and approaching basic machine learning challenges/projects.
- Understanding of basic statistical methods (central tendency, probability, sampling, etc.).
- Experience in consulting roles and comfortable navigating open-ended complex problems.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

$100,000 - $125,000 USD
