USE DATA TO ASSIST AND OPTIMIZE THE NEXT GENERATION OF SAAS CUSTOMER SUCCESS PROFESSIONALS

As a BI Analyst, you will seek opportunities to apply data to the business to improve our strategic business outcomes. You’ll develop and implement business dashboards, data models and drive business decisions around company performance. You will expertly use KPIs and data insights to drive operational excellence within the organization and for executive leadership.

This will involve:

  • Partnering with stakeholders in Customer Success, Business Operations, Product, and Finance to identify data and analytics opportunities.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining BI models and dashboards for on-going and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Identifying data quality and process improvement opportunities by monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data, and partnering with internal teams

We're looking for an expert in quantitative and qualitative analysis, who is passionate about data, reading the nuances of the business, and constantly curious about how it can be used to drive business decisions. Initially, we view this role as a trusted advisor to our Customer Success team to help them make informed decisions around strategy, priorities, and tactics, with an eventual transition to support other internal business partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Drive results through the implementation of scalable data products to inform the strategic direction for internal business partners at Sisense
  • Build and maintain business intelligence dashboards and data models to make informed decisions quickly while also enabling others to self-serve insights from your products
  • Research and identify impactful business problems and translate them into structured analysis, actionable insights and / or business intelligence solutions
  • Develop strong relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company (Business Operations, Finance, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, R&D)
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve efficiency, clarity and deliver increased value to the organization
  • Collaborate with leadership and end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery 

HOW YOU'LL RAMP:

By Day 30

  • Understand our internal business systems and data structures, specifically the Sisense elasticubes and Snowflake data models heavily leveraged by the business today
  • Learn the fundamentals of Customer Success — our KPIs, workflows and business systems. 
  • Get to know the stakeholders in Customer Success, Finance and Business Operations who you'll be working with

By Day 60

  • Utilize and maintain our existing Sisense dashboards for analysis and start building your own
  • Become increasingly familiar with our current data warehouse and BI models. 
  • Have regular meetings with other stakeholders to learn, share information, and prioritize initiatives.

By Day 90

  • Reach a high level of proficiency with the Sisense platform to build dashboards for both long-term departments use and for one-off ad-hoc analysis.
  • Work directly with leadership and internal business partners and to execute the strategic analytics roadmap

WHAT YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED...SO FAR:

  • You have worked in a start-up or tech company and are familiar with the inside customer success structure and affiliated tech stack.
  • You have superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills with a passion for digging deeper and discovering the next insight.
  • You have the ability to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization.
  • You have demonstrated an ability to understand business drivers, collaborate with leaders, and diagnose business problems that can be addressed through data and analytics
  • You have an affinity to drive strategic direction through insightful analysis.
  • You are flexible, adaptable, and able to learn on the fly. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • You work with a high sense of urgency and rigorous attention to detail.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • You have a high level of proficiency with BI tools 
  • You have strong, hands-on experience with SQL
  • You have a strong understanding of dimensional modeling best practices
  • You have a good level of proficiency with Excel
  • You have experience in Customer Success analytics/business analytics/business intelligence
  • Familiarity with information systems such as: Salesforce, Snowflake, GainSight, Zendesk

CO Posting: The base pay range for candidates located in Colorado is $90,000-$110,000 (/yr). The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to market location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, experience and training, education, skill sets, and other business and organizational needs. A bonus, equity, commissions, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity. The disclosed salary range represents an estimate of the base compensation for candidates who can or will be located in Colorado. This range may vary with respect to candidates whose primary work location is outside those jurisdictions.

NYC and CA Posting: The base pay range for candidates located in New York City and California is $90,000-$110,000 (/yr). The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to market location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, experience and training, education, skill sets, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed salary range represents an estimate of the base compensation for candidates who can or will be located in New York City or California.
