About the Opportunity
The Business Analyst at The Yay Company is fully responsible for all analytics initiatives and data-driven insights that drive the company's continuous success. This role involves extracting, manipulating, and visualizing data using advanced SQL skills and various reporting tools. The Business Analyst creates and maintains self-service dashboards, supports core data warehouse activities, and assists in developing new data architectures.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Take full responsibility for the core data warehouse using dbt, Snowflake, and GitHub by creating new models in SQL and maintaining existing models through fixes and revisions.
- Fulfill ad hoc data requests directly from Snowflake using SQL when self-service tools are unavailable.
- Maintain current contracts and manage the department budget.
- Plan, create, and present self-service business intelligence reports.
- Develop a plan for growing the analytics department and creative thinking around existing tools.
- Utilize ETL and reverse ETL programs such as FiveTran, Hightouch, and Census to integrate data from various sources including Laravel, ZenDesk, HubSpot, MailChimp, Bamboo HR, and Google Sheets.

- Experience with business intelligence tools.
- Proficient in data integration using FiveTran and Hightouch.
- Strong data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization skills.
- Expertise in data cleaning and data manipulation.
- Expertise with Excel and Google Sheets.
- Adaptability, independent work capability, and team collaboration skills.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related experience is preferred.
