Position Description

Under the direction of the VP, Revenue Operations, the Business Analyst is responsible for providing analysis in support of strategic initiatives, business development, and standard operations for Revenue and Finance. This position is part of a team that produces daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly results and analysis and performs financial analysis to evaluate team performance and support decision making. The Business Analyst role will also be expected to take projects and initiatives requested by senior leadership from inception through to the final deliverable. As Eleanor Health continues to expand its use of BI tools to drive effective decision making, the Business Analyst will creatively use BI tools such as Mode to develop and enhance Eleanor Health’s reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will be extremely well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities.  

  • Work with Revenue Cycle, Operations, and Finance staff to understand and evaluate financial performance and financial issues and opportunities facing the organization
  • Collaborate and communicate cross functionally to understand data and reporting needs; produce and deliver solutions that support those needs
  • Use current data sets to model potential future financial scenarios
  • Partner with Product and Data teams to ensure alignment in reporting strategy
  • Meet deadlines of multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and collaborate with team members
  • Manage data input from multiple platforms; synchronize and normalize data to ensure consistency in analysis
  • Identify and work with leadership to discover problems/inaccuracies and, when appropriate, initiates changes to prevent future problems
  • Demonstrate ability to know and understand the audience and the information the audience needs
  • Demonstrate ability to reduce data to only the bare minimum of what is needed to communicate a message
  • Support reporting needs of Revenue Operations by producing daily, weekly, monthly reporting deliverables.
  • Ability to learn new tools and new ways of presenting data
  • Assist in developing best practices for data presentation and sharing across the organization
  • Recommend approaches or tools to increase the effectiveness of this role  
  • Use tact, sensitivity and professionalism in communicating effectively and respectfully with the leadership team, physicians, co-workers and others

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management required 
  • 3+ years work experience, healthcare experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience synchronizing and analyzing multiple data sources; ability to synthesize data to      answer key business questions
  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting and communication skills
  • Experience in working with and analyzing healthcare data
  • Possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced user experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Google Suite
  • Experience with Net Suite and Athena strongly preferred, Sales Force a plus
