Business Intelligence Analyst

Help ensure that Tango Card’s BI technology stack is highly accurate, performant, and secure. Collaborate with business owners to understand short and long-term goals and author technical requirements to meet business needs. Work closely with Data Architecture team members to ensure data is modeled appropriately to support business requirements. Assist in scaling a semantic layer and maintain standardized definitions of terms, measures / metrics, and KPIs. Grow your understanding of and assist in the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and self-service reporting tools in Tableau and/or other BI platforms to accelerate operations and provide actionable insights for strategic management decisions. Apply data visualization techniques, resources, and libraries to business problems, presenting information in a format that’s intuitive, useful, and flexible. Learn about and help in the development of predictive analytic models to surface insights and facilitate proactive decision making. Present data and solutions effectively across geographically dispersed teams from a diverse set of technical backgrounds, including leadership and executive teams. Apply standards and guidelines for report and dashboard development, promoting best practices and guiding the team toward continuous improvement. Complete assigned tickets including functional/technical development, testing, review, UAT, and deployment while communicating progress and blockers. Understand business intelligence trends and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business needs. 

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Management, Data Analytics or related statistical field and 3 years of experience in any position in which data analytics related experience is gained, OR Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in above-referenced field and 2 years of data analytics related experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience, which may include unpaid exp. All experience as required below may be gained concurrently: 24 months of experience in designing, developing, testing and implementing high performance, scalable, and secure business intelligence and analytic solutions in a fast-paced, modern environment; 24 months of requirements gathering experience across business functions (for example, product, sales, marketing, operations, finance) and translating those requirements into effective deliverables; Demonstrated proficiency in data visualization techniques; 12 months of hands-on experience with current data platforms & databases (eg: Snowflake, Redshift, or Postgres) Proficiency in SQL and other query languages; Skilled at solving ambiguous problems and thinking both forward and proactively when designing analytic solutions; Ability to maintain exemplary communication and a customer-focused approach while working across multiple projects. Fully remote position. Telecommuting is permitted. Will be required to travel between 10% to 25% of the time, including overnight travel, to attend onsite company meetings and events, industry conferences and/or training, and community outreach programs. Travel would be limited to the United States, and is expected to comprise quarterly events to be held primarily at the company's offices located in Seattle Washington, or other areas yet to be determined but which are amenable to team collaboration events for our generally remote workforce disbursed across the United States. In addition, participation is expected at industry conferences such as the Tableau Conference, held in Las Vegas this year and planned for San Diego next year, and Tableau training, which is likely to occur around the greater Seattle area. In summary, travel is required at the company's offices located in Seattle, Washington, and other places throughout the US as required for business meetings, industry conferences, and training. No international travel is required. The candidate is expected to travel 4 times a year for quarterly events and once or twice a year for training. Salary

The targeted pay for this position is $110,864.00. Please note that the actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.  Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonus.
