As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will report to the Director, Planning & Analysis. You will consolidate and manipulate data from multiple large data sets, analyze the results, and build reports, dashboards and presentations. You will collaborate across multiple departments to understand data sources and business problems. You will use your technical expertise to automate and simplify our reporting and data analysis needs.

This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

    • Identify issues, trends, and opportunities for Mission to optimize operational efficiency through continual deep analysis of Mission’s financial and customer data sets 
    • Generate meaningful and insightful analytics from internal operational data, enabling business leaders to make data-driven decisions
    • Conceptualize and build creative data visualization dashboards to effectively communicate key business insights and tell a compelling ‘story’
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of Mission’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop repeatable, efficient processes to measure and forecast these metrics
    • Provide technical expertise on data cleansing, transformation and storage structures
    • Support the design and implementation of Mission’s data lake
    • Perform ad-hoc data analysis using SQL, Tableau / Quicksight, Excel and other tools as necessary

Requirements

    • 5+ years of professional experience in a business intelligence / data analyst role, preferably in the technology industry
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
    • Ability to translate data into clean, intuitive dashboards in Tableau, Quicksight or a similar tool
    • Outstanding Excel skills, with experience building models in excel from scratch (financial modeling experience a plus)
    • Experience working across departments and managing multiple stakeholder needs and requests at one time
    • Experience managing and executing overlapping projects of varying durations and complexities
    • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (required within 1 year of hire)
