About the team:

Firebolt is a company growing fast. You will have a rare opportunity to join our BI team, using a modern data stack with Firebolt, Looker, and dbt at the heart of it. This team is in charge of all the internal analytics work: creating data pipelines, data modeling, analysis, visualization, and reporting. We enable all areas of the business to make data-driven decisions. This team will grow in the future and you could be one of the first members reporting directly to the Head of BI.

About the job to be done:

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.
• Crafting and executing queries upon request for data.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms and the data warehouse (Firebolt….What else? :))
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience as a data engineer and a BI developer.
• Proficiency and ability to code a simple ETL or ELT.
• Expert knowledge of SQL
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence software such as Looker and its modeling language LookML.
• Development experience using dbt.
• Passion for data, learning cutting-edge technologies, and a constant craving for becoming a better engineer.
• The mentality of a team player, sense of ownership, and of urgency.
• Communication skills include the ability to identify and communicate data-driven insights.
• Experience working for a company in a hyper-growth mode
