Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to lead and grow our Analytics & Reporting function within our Treasury team. 

This key role will leverage data to increase the operational value of Finance Automation through transparent reporting of cash activity and influence business decisions through dynamic analytics to proactively identify issues and their root causes.

We have large data sets that need to be analyzed to better understand our business and to identify new opportunities for efficiencies and improvement. You will be critical in exploring and modeling data then analyzing and communicating critical insights to improve decision making.  You will also work with business teams across the company in areas like data reconciliation and discrepancy resolution as it pertains to treasury/investor/servicing data.

Responsibilities

    • Daily cash reconciliation of Upgrade’s servicing portfolio
    • Write complex queries to transform raw data and perform data analytics, identifying discrepancies, quality assurance & data integrity
    • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
    • Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics related to cash reconciliation
    • Support various initiatives related to Upgrade’s long-term automation & reporting strategy

Requirements

    • 2+ years of experience in an analytics / data-intensive role
    • Strong SQL coding experience and working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets; visualization software (e.g. Tableau) a plus
    • Comfortable with ambiguity, developing creative solutions and delivering results as a part of a small, lean team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with key business partners
    • Comfortable working independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
