The business team at CRED is looking for a savvy Data Analyst to join our growing team of analytics experts. You will be responsible for gathering data from various sources, reviewing, and interpreting it using data analysis tools to provide meaningful insights both internally and externally.

You are an experienced data analyst who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. You will support our product managers, software developers, data scientists and business team on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data quality is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products.

The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

Responsibilities

    • Research and analyze data sources for accessibility and quality
    • Collect, clean, and process data via APIs, CSVs, and scraping
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
    • Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences
    • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to build visualizations

Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
    • Strong mathematical, numeracy, & communication skills
    • Experience with data warehouses such as Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
    • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI and data visualization more generally
    • Advanced SQL knowledge
    • Passion for and knowledge about sports, especially soccer / football

Bonus Points

    • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
    • Experience in software development and/or machine learning
    • Experience in small start­up environments
    • Experience with a distributed team / remote work
