Job Description:
- This data analyst resource will be a point person on the data request process as well as a resource from IASB on the reports in IEES or the Data Warehouse (SSRS reports, Business Intelligence reports, etc.).
- This position will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help organizations make informed decisions. A key part of a Data Analyst's job involves using SQL (Structured Query Language) to query databases, extract relevant information. Proficiency in SQL is essential as it allows the analyst to efficiently work with large datasets and perform complex analyses.
- The role of this Data Analyst also includes ensuring data accuracy and integrity, identifying trends and patterns that could be beneficial or harmful to the agency, and presenting findings in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders. They often work closely with other departments to understand their data needs and to provide insights that can drive strategic decisions.
- To be successful in this role, the candidate should have a strong foundation with data modeling and data warehousing concepts. They should also possess excellent communication skills to translate complex data into understandable insights and reports for various audiences. Experience with Medicaid, SNAP, TANF(KTAP) and Child Care is strongly preferred but not required.
- The successful candidate will also perform Business Analyst duties as needed based upon business needs.
